Frequently Asked Ouestions

Guest & Invitation Details

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

We’re so happy to welcome little ones to the weekend festivities!

As dinner will be a seated service, we won’t have formal places set for children.

If you’ll be bringing them along, please let our planners know when you RSVP so they can plan accordingly and arrange dinner or a fun activity for the kids within the palace grounds during that time.

We also encourage families to explore the babysitting options listed in our Services section, which may be the most comfortable alternative for little ones during dinner and late-night celebrations.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Absolutely — we’re all for love!

Please just make sure to include your guest’s name when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Who can I contact with questions?
For any questions about the weekend, travel plans, or special arrangements, please reach out to our wedding planner team — they’ll be happy to help!

You can find their contact details in the Services section of our website.

Travel & Stay

How many nights should I stay?

Ideally, plan to stay two nights — the welcome party will kick off on Friday, May 22 at 7PM, and the wedding celebration will be on Saturday, May 23.

If you’d like to linger a little longer (and you should!), Cascais is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed Sunday by the sea.

Do I need to rent a car?

We don’t recommend renting a car — Ubers are safe, reliable, and very affordable throughout Cascais, Sintra, and Lisbon.

Parking near hotels and the venue can be tricky, and it’s much easier to relax and enjoy the celebrations without the logistics of driving.

If you prefer a private experience, you can find more details in the Services section of our website.

What if I miss the bus — or just need to get around without a car?
Ubers are reliable, efficient, and surprisingly affordable throughout Cascais, Sintra, and Lisbon. It’s by far the easiest way to get around — and lets everyone enjoy the weekend without worrying about parking or driving. :)

How far are the venues from Cascais town center?
Forte da Crismina: about a 5–10 minute drive (roughly 4 km / 2.5 miles) from central Cascais. Guests will make their own way to the venue — Ubers are quick and easy!

Palácio do Correio Mor: around a 30-minute drive (approximately 35 km / 22 miles) from central Cascais. Transportation will be provided to and from the venue so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

Transportation & Schedule

Will transportation be provided to the venue?

For the welcome party at Forte da Crismina, guests are expected to make their own way — it’s just a 5–10 minute drive (4 km / 2.5 miles) from central Cascais, and Ubers are quick and easy to find.

For the wedding day at Palácio do Correio Mor, group transportation will be provided to and from Cascais so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Exact pick-up times and locations will be shared closer to the date...

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Buses will be coordinated to make sure everyone arrives right on time. More information to come, but plan to be ready by 4:30 PM for departure.

Events & Atmosphere

Are the events indoors or outdoors?
Most celebrations will take place outdoors — with the ceremony and cocktails under the open sky and dinner in a covered area within the palace. Bring something light for the evening breeze, but don’t worry — we’ve planned for every scenario.

What will the weather be like?

Late May in Cascais usually brings warm, sunny days around 22–26°C (low to mid-70s°F) and comfortably cool evenings near 16–18°C (low 60s°F). Expect plenty of sunshine with a gentle ocean breeze. We recommend packing light layers — a shawl, wrap, or jacket for the evenings.

Can I get hair and makeup done for the wedding?

Absolutely. Check out the “services” tab on our website with all of the details for booking hair and make-up appointments.
